Deepak Maun

While for some, a degree could mean completion of education, Deepak believes that ‘education and learning' is a life-long process and one needs to go beyond his comfort zone to learn new things. During the two years he spent at Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ahmedabad, he realized that maximum learning happened not in the classroom but outside it. He found that there was so much to learn beyond textbooks, and the reality could be different from what the textbooks told.

After completing his PG Diploma, he worked with Marico Ltd., a leading FMCG company. While he liked the job, he found the learning to be one dimensional. With an urge to make a social contribution and do more than just routine stuff, he left his well paid job and is now venturing on his to improve learning levels in rural and semi-urban schools of Haryana. Before joining IIM Ahmedabad, he had completed his B.Tech in Dairy Technology from National Dairy Research Institute, Karnal and worked with ITC Ltd., an FMCG major. Deepak is trained in the Open Space Technology ( OST ) under the Genuine Contact Program.

Preeti Gujar

Preeti holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration with Human Resources as her specialization.  She has been part of the Human Resources team in a financial services company for three and a half years. Her experience during that stint ranged from campus recruitment, lateral hiring, learning and development, group facilitation as well as event management. She enjoys taking herself and individuals into a journey of self-discovery and listening to the inner voice to get answers to questions they are dealing with as individuals/teams/organisations.

The quote, "The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes, but in having new eyes", by Michael Proust, captures the essence of the journey that Preeti is on. She has walked out of the corporate world and now believes in natural action. No service. No big buildings. Just help those you can touch. J Krishnamurthi’s words resonate with her ideas for herself and the world, “The happy man is the truly religious man, and his very living is social work.” Hence she says she is in this phase of understanding herself and being happy, thereby co-creating environments such that every place she goes to feels like home and everyone she meets is family.
